Bacchas move clear at the top

Second half goals from Johnny Callow and Sean Corlett fired Bacchas A three points clear of the Wi-Manx men's Premier Division on Saturday.

They won the match of the day with a 2-1 win over Valkyrs A, for whom Greg Miller scored.

Four from Paul Kelly led Vikings A to an 8-0 romp against Harlequins A.

An Alex Bell double and one from Chris Bass sealed a 3-1 victory for Bacchas B over Castletown A, whose reply came from Donald Stewart.

In the basement battle, Saracens A earned their first point of the season in a 1-1 draw with Vikings B, whose goal was scored by Simon Foster.

Champions Vikings A hit rivals Bacchas A for seven in the Wi-Manx women's Premier Division.

Four from sharp-shooter Kim Carney, two from Katie Errock and one from Kirsty Cooper sealed a 7-1 rout and ended Bacchas’ 100 per cent record with aplomb.

Hat-tricks from Christina Kermeen and Kathryn Craine led Ramsey A to an 9-0 thrashing of Castletown B.
Natasha Moore (two) and Lyndsey Beynon notched the others for the northerners.

A Leanne Prescott goal gave Valkyrs A a 1-0 win over Castletown A, while Bacchas B emerged 3-1 winners over Valkyrs B.

Amy McGarry (two) and Jennie Vernon-Browne grabbed the goals with Aalish Burden scoring for battling Bacchas.
