A new take on an old story

by isleofman.com 9th October 2010

There's an opportunity to learn more about one of the world's longest running and most painful conflicts this evening (Saturday).

'Beyond Belief' is a dynamic, one-man, multi-media presentation, based on the lives of ordinary, Palestinian people, living under Israeli occupation, in the West Bank.

Devon-based singer-songwriter Martin John Nicholls - a worker for the charity Christian Aid - uses powerful, personal stories, striking images and his own songs to convey an alternative perspective on a frequently told story (play audio file):

Martin John Nicholls presents 'Beyond Belief' at the Broadway Baptist Church in Douglas from 7.30pm.

There is no admission charge, but there will be a collection towards the cost of the event, with any surplus going to Christian Aid's work in Israel and Palestine.
