by isleofman.com 8th October 2010

An update on the two Isle of Man gymnasts injured at the Commonwealth Games has come in to Manx Radio.

President of the Manx Gymnastics Centre of Excellence Ian Bradshaw says Joe Smith leaves Noble's Hospital today, following an operation to repair his achilles tendon.

Meanwhile, Olivia Curran is back on the Island today.

On behalf of everyone at the centre, which all the gymnasts in Delhi came through, Mr Bradshaw has passed on a big thank you to the coaches and team for rallying round their injured team-mates.

He's added a special thank you to physio Ruth Cooil, who took care of the pair in Delhi, and the staff at Noble's.
