Coach transfers laid on for Pirates of Penzance

by isleofman.com 7th October 2010

THE Manx Gilbert and Sullivan Society has made it easier for residents to watch their latest musical performance by providing coach transfers to the show.

Karl Cubbon, society chairman, said: "We are just putting the final touches to what promises to be a fun, entertaining and family friendly show that features some of the Island top singers.

"To help everyone come along and see the show I am happy to confirm that we will again be running coach trips to the show from all four corners of the Island."

Coaches will depart from Ramsey, via Laxey or via Sulby, Kirk Michael and Peel, at 6.15pm on Wednesday, November 3. A coach will leave Port Erin at 6.30pm, via Colby and Castletown, on the same night.

Pirates of Penzance tells the story of an apprentice pirate torn between his duty to his colleagues and the love of a major-general’s daughter.

It will run at the Gaiety Theatre from Tuesday, November 2, to Saturday, November 6.

To book a place on the coach, which costs £8, contact Karl on 07624 452181 or e-mail chairman@gands.org.im.
