Tribute from a friend and fellow comedian

Friends and showbusiness colleagues of Norman Wisdom are continuing to pay tribute to the comedian.

Sir Norman died at Abbotswood nursing home in Ballasalla on Monday night, at the age of 95.

Floral tributes were placed around his statue in Douglas yesterday (Tuesday).

Comedian Ken Dodd has been a regular performer in the Isle of Man, and during his last visit went to see Sir Norman who, he says, was in high spirits.

He says he will be remembered as a comic genius and a gentleman:
