Christian and Whorrall make points race final

The Isle of Man has its first real shot at medals at the Commonwealth Games, after Mark Christian and Chris Whorrall made it through to the final of the 40km points race.

Christian won his heat with 27 points after gaining a lap, winning one intermediate sprint and placing in another one.

Whorrall meanwhile finished fifth in his heat.

The final is at 9.50 tomorrow morning Manx time.
