ABOUT 30 people took part in a protest in Douglas town centre to raise their concerns about the police's complaints procedure.
It happened yesterday (Saturday) afternoon on Douglas Promenades and through the main shopping area.
The protest passed peacefully without incident, police said.
Inspector Phil Shimmin of the Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "The purpose of the policing operation was to facilitate a peaceful protest whilst minimising any disruption to the community within the town centre.
"Positive liaison with the organiser of the protest prior to the event helped to ensure that the protest passed smoothly and without any arrests being necessary.
"It is important to recognise that the right to freedom of expression within lawful parameters is respected by the Isle of Man Constabulary, no matter what the subject of the protest."
