by isleofman.com 2nd October 2010

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to two attempted burglaries and a theft in Castletown.

Gary Williams from Port Erin police said: "On the evening of Thursday, September 30 into the early hours of Friday morning, somebody has tried to enter two commercial properties in the Hope Street area of Castletown using what appears to be a crow bar or jemmy.

"At the scene of one of these incidents a mobile phone has also been stolen from a vehicle.

"I would like anybody who lives in the area who may have seen or heard anything suspicious or who has been offered a mobile phone to contact me on 832222 or speak with any police officer."
