MS Society demonstrates alternative treatments

by isleofman.com 1st October 2010

A complementary therapy session for people with multiple sclerosis is being held in Douglas this weekend.

It's aimed at MS sufferers who work, and miss out on support groups held around the Island on weekdays.

Alternative therapies such as reiki, reflexology and massage are often used by people who can't be helped with traditional drugs.

The session has been organised by the Island's MS Society and is at the Hilton Hotel on Saturday (October 2), from 10am to 2pm.

There's a chance to pick up information, talk to therapists and try a 'taster' session.

There's also advice on how the hyperbaric chamber and yoga classes can help sufferers who have problems with mobility and balance.
