Deadline for tax disclosure passes

by isleofman.com 30th September 2010

Today (September 30) was the deadline for using the Island's tax disclosure scheme.

The window of opportunity, which opened on July 1, gave an opportunity for anyone who had failed to fully disclose their income, or to register for income tax purposes, a chance to bring their affairs up to date, without suffering penalties.

Providing a full disclosure was made by close of business today, the assessor would only assess income tax, and waive any penalties and interest.

The scheme applies to any person who is resident for income tax purposes or who is, or should be, paying non-resident tax.
