THE comedy Four Lions (cert 15) will be screened as part of the Films in Peel programme at the Centenary Centre tomorrow (Friday).
Set in modern day Sheffield, Four Lions tells the tale of a group of British Islamic terrorists who bungle their way through an attack on the consumerist, godless society in which they live.
Directed by Chris Morris - known for The Day Today and Brass Eye - and written by Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong (of In The Thick of It fame), this low budget film is described as moving skilfully between slapstick, satire and storytelling and will both amuse and unsettle the audience.
Four Lions marks Morris' debut as a feature film director although he won a BAFTA in 2002 for Best Short Film with My Wrongs 8245-8249&117.
A review in The Times about the film said: "Morris audaciously seeks out the things we didn't think we could laugh at, this film is an absolute must."
The film starts at 7.45pm and doors open at 7.15pm.
Tickets are £4 full price (£3 concessions) and are available in advance from Celtic Gold, Peel.
Reservations with seat guarantee can be made at Shakti Man, Ramsey, Peter Norris Music and Mostly Manx, Douglas and Thompson Travel, Port Erin. Any unsold tickets will be available on the door.
