POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a "violent incident" which happened outside the entrance to Glen Falcon Gardens yesterday (Wednesday).

It involved two males and resulted in an 18-year-old local man receiving a facial injury.

Police believe a male passerby witnessed the incident - at  4.20pm in Glen Falcon Road, Douglas - and approached the injured man.

They are appealing for him or anyone else with information to ring Police Headquarters on 631212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The man's injury is not serious and did not require any immediate medical treatment.
