See the stars from Snaefell this weekend

by isleofman.com 28th September 2010

AN event combining stargazing and Snaefell will take place this weekend.

Isle of Man Railways are hosting the Pie in the Sky event - which combines a tram trip to the Snaefell Summit with dinner and an evening of stargazing – on Friday, October 1, and Saturday, October 2.

Tickets cost £25 and include tram travel, a hot pot supper at the Snaefell Summit, and stargazing with the Isle of Man Astronomical Society.

If the weather is cloudy the society will give an illustrated lecture instead.

Trams depart from Derby Castle at 6pm on both days.

Further information and tickets are available from The Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal in Douglas or by calling 01624 662525.
