by isleofman.com 26th September 2010

Jock Waddington won today's End to End Walk in a new record time.

He took 6mins 28secs off Sean Hands' old mark, finishing in 6hrs 37mins 29secs.

Last year's winner Michael George was second.

He was also inside the old record, recording a time of 6hrs 41mins 01sec, which was also around ten minutes quicker than his winning time from last year.

Two Richards, Richard Spenceley from Hull and Richard Gerrard from the Isle of Man came home hand-in-hand in joint third in a time of 7hrs 02mins 51secs, having helped each other along since Jurby.

Meanwhile Judith Quane, who's a relative newcomer to racewalking, was the first lady home in 7hrs 40mins 09secs.
