Huge turn out for Food and Drink Festival

by isleofman.com 26th September 2010

NEARLY 3,000 people attended the first day of the Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival yesterday (Saturday).

Around 2,700 paying visitors enjoyed the festival while there was free admission for children.

The past two days have seen glorious sunshine ensuring families were able to enjoy strolling around the Villa Marina Gardens sampling a wide range of Manx produce.

Yesterday celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo attracted large crowds to his live cooking demonstrations and book signing.

One of the highlights of today's festival will be the final of the I Love Manx Chef of the Year competition at 3pm.
