A GROUP of some of Britain’s most valuable vintage Jaguars have spent the weekend on the Isle of Man, enjoying Manx roads in the superb autumn weather.
Travelling from all over the UK, the stunning collection of the cars featured some of the world’s rarest Jaguars - including three owned by Manx residents.
Attracting lots of interest was the superb XK 1.4 owned by David Mylchreest which is almost 60 years old and still has only 37,000 miles on the clock.
It was originally purchased in the early 50s by “Tucker” Moore, owner of the former Moore’s Mills in St John’s (now the Tynwald Mills retail complex) and was used on only rare occasions - usually to drive to the local Post Office 500 yards away for Mr Moore to collect his Sunday papers!
David Mylchreest is the car’s only other owner and he has maintained it in immaculate original condition, making it both unique and valuable.
The Jaguars gathered for the start of their weekend of touring and social gatherings with a line-up at the TT Grandstand pit lane for a unique photograph of the Jaguars and their owners.
