Delhi here we come!

After a week of speculation and headlines, the Isle of Man team sets off from Ronaldsway this morning (Saturday) for the Commonwealth Games in Delhi

The media focus on the troubled preparations in India, with a footbridge collapsing and negative reports about conditions in the athletes village, has not been the ideal build-up for competitors and officials.

But the green light has been given for the party to travel.

Minister with responsibility for sport David Cretney says the Isle of Man has a rich history competing at Commonwealth level:
