Autumn term-time programme starts at NSC

THE autumn term-time programme has now started at the National Sports Centre, Douglas.

 

The comprehensive range of sporting activities available include cricket, disability football, indoor football, netball, hockey, athletics, badminton, squash and multi skill sessions.

 

These all take place between 4.15pm to 6pm from Monday to Saturday.

 

All abilities are welcome and sessions cater for children in school years Reception to Year Two and Years Three to Nine. The cost is £1 per session.

 

Community, Culture and Leisure Minister David Cretney MHK said: "Following our very successful summer schemes the department is pleased to offer a good range of sporting activities for all ages during the new term time period.

 

"I encourage parents and children to take advantage of these wonderful opportunities to stay active and learn new skills."

 

Sport development officer Gianni Epifani said: "The term time programme offers a good opportunity for young people to enjoy sport in a fun and safe environment."

 

The term time programme will run through until the end of the autumn term and there will be no sessions during October half term.
