Organisers of the 18th annual Shoprite Cycle for Life are urging youngsters and adults alike to get involved.
The 2010 event is due to take place on Sunday morning.
A fun family cycle along Douglas promenade and a seven-leg relay around the TT course will be run simultaneously, and this year’s proceeds will be divided between the RNLI and the Isle of Man Gymnastics Association.
One of the organisers, Dot Tilbury, hopes as many people as possible take part for a good cause (play audio file):
The relay around the TT course starts at the TT grandstand, with the first group of riders due to get away at 9am.
The family fun event has a 9.30 for a 10am start from the Sea Terminal.
Participants will cycle to the Villa Marina and back but older children can ride the full length of the promenade if they wish.
Anyone interested in taking part can contact Kim Makin at Shoprite, on 683334.
