Too many trees sacrificed - BADRA

Houses need to built, but the price being paid at a construction site in the south of the Island is too high.

That's the view of the Ballasalla and District Residents Association, or BADRA, whose members are highlighting concerns over issues relating to the Poacher's Pocket development in the village.

They say over the years around 150 mature trees have been chopped down to make way for the 22 houses which are being built.

BADRA member Mike Henthorn says it's too late for anything to be done, but hopes things will be different in other areas in the future:
