by isleofman.com 22nd September 2010

The Isle of Man Ship Registry’s 25-year history will be the subject of a seminar on October 22, arranged by the Association of Corporate Service Providers and sponsored by Barclays Wealth.

The presentation, 'The Isle of Man Ship Registry – 25 years and Thriving', is to be delivered by the registry’s director Dick Welsh after the ACSP’s annual general meeting.

Mr Welsh will be answering six key questions to provide a profile of the Ship Registry’s development, namely:

? What is ship registration?
? Why the Isle of Man?
? What does it do?
? How does it benefit the Island’s economy?
? How can CSPs get involved?
? How is it performing?

The session will take place at the Upper Church Hall, Promenade Methodist Church, Loch Promenade, Douglas, with registration at 12 noon and the AGM beginning promptly at 12.30pm.
