The Manx Grand Prix will no longer be the poor relative of the TT festival, according to organisers.
Plans have been announced to commercialise the MGP and provide better value for money for the government.
Organisers say the idea is to produce revenue which can be reinvested in what’s been christened the Manx Grand Prix Festival.
Geoff Corkish of the Department of Economic Development says the moves will bring the MGP out of the shadow of its more famous brother – and the plans have been heavily influenced by recent developments in the TT.
