Czech TV crew show fruits of its labour

A CZECH TV crew who visited the Island in July have broadcast the footage from its trip.

 

The crew, consisting of director Otto Kallus and director of photography Michel Hluchan, visited the Island for a week to make a travel programme for Czech national television.

 

The 30 minute programme aired on Monday, September 13, as part of the "On the Road" series.

 

This series has been broadcast for more than four years and attracts around one million viewers.

 

During their time in the Island the crew visited several locations including the Manx Museum, Villa Marina, Gaiety Theatre and Laxey Wheel.

 

They also filmed Tynwald Day and the Tin Bath Championships and interviewed local wildlife artist Jeremy Paul, Diana Steriopulos of Manx Loaghtan Ltd and Johnny Barton the TT liaison officer and rider.
