The minister responsible for the Isle of Man's bus services believes there was good consultation ahead of the introduction of a new timetable, a week ago today (Monday).
David Cretney has faced criticism in some quarters, particularly from North Douglas MHKs John Houghton and Bill Henderson, who claim the new services are 'stricken' and causing 'severe inconvenience to passengers'.
They have called a public meeting for this evening, at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas, and say the minister should attend to 'face the music'.
Mr Cretney has made it clear he won't be present, as he wishes to deal with any complaints on an individual basis.
He says he has already dealt with several problems which have been drawn to his attention, including starting the first weekday 'number eight' service from Peel again, instead of St John's, putting on additional morning peak-time services from Port Jack, and re-instating the early service to the hospital from Anagh Coar.
