Make a Will and raise money for charity

by isleofman.com 17th September 2010

A LAW firm in the Isle of Man is offering to make 10 free Wills in return for a donation to an Island charity.

Dougherty Quinn has agreed to write up to 10 simple Wills free of charge in return for a set donation to The Children’s Centre.

The Wills must be straightforward and not require any additional complex advice.

The donation prices are:

-£70 for a codicil Will

-£90 for a single Will

-£150 for a mirror Will

John Knight, chief executive of The Children’s Centre, said: "If this encourages people to make a Will, then that has to be a positive move. The fact that those fees can be put to good use within The Children’s Centre is something for which we are extremely grateful."

Mark Dougherty, director of the law firm, said: "Dougherty Quinn is delighted to be supporting this worthwhile charitable cause for the fifth year running. It is important to support local charities and Dougherty Quinn takes this responsibility very seriously."

Anyone interested in this initiative should contact Michelle at The Children’s Centre on 01624 631919 or e-mail fundraising@thechildrenscentre.org.im.
