Motorist cut free after accident

Fire crews were called to free the driver of a car after an accident on the Mountain Road on Tuesday afternoon. 

The vehicle left the road near Windy Corner and came to rest on its side.

Crews, working in what were described as difficult conditions, made the vehicle stable before cutting the driver free.

The accident happened around 4.15pm and the driver was taken to hospital by ambulance.

No information has been released on any injuries.
