'Willaston has been decimated' - MHK

by isleofman.com 13th September 2010

North Douglas MHKs John Houghton and Bill Henderson have called a public meeting, following concerns over the new bus timetables which came in today (Monday).

They are angry over what they say are cuts to services running through Willaston.

Mr Houghton says the revised services have caused anger among his constituents (play audio file):

The public meeting will be at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas, at 7.45pm next Monday, September 20.

Community, Culture and Leisure Minister David Cretney is defending the new timetables and says the criticism from the North Douglas MHKs is electioneering.

He says he won't be attending the public meeting.
