A MAD Hatter’s Tea Party which was held to launch the autumn season of the Films in Peel event has been described as great fun.
The autumn film season started with Tim Burton’s version of Alice in Wonderland and a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on Friday, September 10.
Characters from the film served guests with tea and homemade cakes.
Committee member Jenny Oliver, who dressed as the Mad Hatter, said: "When the film lends itself we do like to do something memorable related to the film.
"It was great fun to dress up for Alice in Wonderland and we had prizes for everyone who wore a mad hat. The winning hat was fantastic and was made by Pauline Oliver from Peel.
"The Queen of Hearts chose the best hat and awarded Pauline with a big bouquet of chocolates. Pauline’s hat was inspired by the sea and contained wonderful sea creatures and beautiful blue and green sea colours."
The Films in Peel committee run the independent cinema at the Centenery Centre in Peel.
