Police investigate "suspicious" fire

A FIRE which caused a significant amount of damage to Parkers Upholstery warehouse in Douglas is being treated as suspicious by police.

 

It took place at the Hill's Meadow industrial estate, Peel Road, between 2pm on Saturday and 10:30am on Sunday.

 

Police said the fire caused the sprinkler system to activate and a significant amount of damage was caused to the building and its contents.

 

They are treating the incident as suspicious and would like to hear from any witnesses who should ring 631212.
