More than 30 people have applied to be the next Lieutenant Governor of the Isle of Man – and a committee has drawn up a shortlist of hopefuls.
The top job of being the Queen’s representative on the Island was advertised in a UK newspaper and whoever gets the job will take over next spring.
For the first time, a committee of the Chief Minister, President of Tynwald and First Deemster have produced a list of names which will be passed to Her Majesty for consideration.
