Bus criticism amounts to 'electioneering'

by isleofman.com 13th September 2010

Community, Culture and Leisure Minister David Cretney has hit back after sharp criticism of the Island’s new bus timetables.

A huge revamp of bus services comes into effect this morning (Monday) but last week sparked the ire of North Douglas MHKs Bill Henderson and John Houghton over changes in Willaston.

Mr Cretney says much of the criticism is unjustified and says anybody with any concerns can contact his department.

He says some of the remarks made seem to be electioneering before the Island goes to the polls next year.
