Knockaloe available for lease

by isleofman.com 13th September 2010

The government’s experimental farm at Knockaloe is up for grabs after the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture declared it surplus to requirements.

Tenders are now being sought from people who’d like to lease the 271 acres and put it to use.

There’s a viewing day this week when those interested can have a look around the operation, which has been run by the government for more than a century.

DEFA Minister John Shimmin says it’s something his department can go without.
