Excursions of a different kind

by isleofman.com 11th September 2010

You can have a snoop around some of the Island’s traditional buildings this weekend.

The Isle of Man Natural History and Antiquarian Society is hosting excursions of a different kind.

It will include a look at the ruined farmstead at Killabrega, before moving on to study a number of other tholtans.

Most of the structures are in the countryside, and for a variety of reasons, ranging from old age, neglect and redevelopment, are becoming increasingly vulnerable.
