The Wolf man destroys Rockets

by isleofman.com 11th September 2010

The gulf in class between the top and bottom of JCK Division Two was evident on Saturday.

Runaway leaders St John’s thrashed rock bottom Ronaldsway 16-1.

Mark Wolfenden hit a double hat-trick against his former club with strike partner Steven Glover bagging five.

Two penalties from goalkeeper Andy Glover and one goal each from Callum Gallagher, Kevin Shimmin and player-manager Nick Hurt completed the rout.

John O’Brien found the net on a day to forget for the Rockets.

Union Mills were far too strong for Foxdale as they consolidated second spot.

Two from Ryan Kelly and one apiece from Mike Collister and Paul Blair sealed the points after a goalless first half.

Ramsey Youth Centre leapfrogged Onchan into third as they defeated their opponents 3-2 up north.

Ste Jordan, Martin Murphy and Matty Christian scored the goals to earn maximum points, despite being pushed hard by Onchan whose scorers were Mark Walmsley and Callum Taggart.

Colby are up to fourth after a 6-1 victory at Douglas and District – Adam Fretwell (three), Dave Caldwell, Rowan Rimington and Juan Kivnig the scorers.

Juan Kinrade scored for D&D.

Pulrose and the Police shared six goals - Steven Kevin and Tony Edgar among the Police scorers - while two first half goals fired Braddan to their first home victory of the season with a 2-1 win over Marown, for whom James Sharp scored.
