Criticism for government over healthcare agreement

There's been a generally positive reaction from the Friends of the Manx Diabetes Centre to the news the Isle of Man Government has signed a new Reciprocal Healthcare Agreement with the United Kingdom.

It means Manx residents visiting the UK will continue to receive free hospital treatment on the NHS, with a similar arrangement applying for people travelling in the opposite direction.

Chairman of the 'friends' Henry Rammage campaigned for the reinstatement of an agreement.

But he believes the people of the Isle of Man should take credit for the continuation of the arrangement, and feels the Manx government let the public down:
