A SENIOR representative from one of the Island’s space companies is representing the Isle of Man at an international space conference.
Sarah Fry from ICM Space is attending the World Satellite Business Conference which brings together senior space representatives from across the globe.
The conference provides a platform for finding out about the current and future prospects for the industry.
It started on September 6 and will finish tomorrow September 10.
Her attendance at the conference comes just one month before World Space Week and the prestigious Google Lunar X Prize Summit which is being hosted in the Isle of Man on October 4 and 5.
She said: "These prestigious events provide huge exposure not only for ICM Space but also the Isle of Man as a premier Space Commerce jurisdiction."
ICM Space organizes the registration of satellites with UK and Isle of Man Space Registries. It assists in securing orbital filing slots in conjunction with ManSat and the ITU and sources finance for satellite development and launch.
The Isle of Man has recently been named as the fifth in a list of nations most likely to make a moon landing between 2018 and 2020 by Ascend.
