Minister says bus changes are 'long overdue'

Late night buses, more services to the airport and Noble's Hospital and estimated annual savings of ?400,000 are all part of changes to the Island's new bus network.

The changes, which come into effect from next Monday (September 13), follow a detailed consultation involving the public, unions and transport staff.

Although buses will now run through Willaston, Pulrose, Anagh Coar and Farmhill half hourly, instead of every 20 minutes, Leisure Minister David Cretney believes the new schedule will be largely be welcomed.

He also believes it is long overdue:
