Teenagers to blame for hedge fire

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a hedge fire in School Road, Onchan, which is believed to have been started deliberately by teenagers.

 

It happened near to the junction of Ballachrink Drive at 5pm on Monday.

 

Three 13-14 year old boys are suspects and they were seen running away from the area.

 

They were all wearing dark tracksuits.

 

Due to the prompt action of the Fire Service the fire was confined to a small area.

 

Anyone with information should ring PC Nigel Smith at Onchan Police Station on 675190.
