by isleofman.com 4th September 2010

There was a demolition at the top of Division Two on Saturday – fitting for a division sponsored by JCK.

Leaders St John's hit 13 past the Police – 10 of their goals coming in the second half against a side which had started the day in second place.

Five from Steven Glover, a hat-trick from player-manager Nick Hurt and one each from Mike Stringer, Callum Gallagher, Mike Peace, John Wrigley, plus an own goal, ensured a rout.

This all came after St John’s had just edged ahead 3-2 at the break.

Union Mills are up to second after an impressive 3-0 win at Marown, courtesy of goals from Steven Quine (two) and Matty Cain.

Ramsey Youth Centre’s fine form continued but they were pushed hard by bottom club Ronaldsway.

Mark Faragher, Steven Jordan and Martin Murphy grabbed the goals with John Kinley and John O’Brien on target for the battling Rockets.

Colby are up to fourth after a goal glut at Glen Road in which they defeated Braddan 6-3.

The points were shared at Billy Goat Park as Foxdale and Malew drew 1-1 - Liam Harrison’s first half goal for Foxdale cancelled out in the second period.

Onchan were 3-1 home winners over Douglas and District, thanks to goals from Mike Spencer, Rob Byrne and Brian Ring.
