First open mic night at the Railway pub a musical success

by isleofman.com 2nd September 2010

LAST night's open mic night at the Railway pub in Douglas featured some of the Island's most talented singer songwriters.

It was the first time an open mic for all styles of music has been held at the pub - though the venue does hold the monthly Isle of Man Blues Club where blues musicians can get up and play.

Run by Mark Armstrong, the list of performers at the open mic included Clara Barker, Alex Harris, 12 Miles Out, Phil Garry and Teresa McNulty to name but a few.

The night proved popular with both the audience and performers alike.

The aim is to hold the event every month.
