Simon Fulton stripped of Junior Manx Grand Prix win

by isleofman.com 2nd September 2010

THE winner of yesterday's Junior Manx Grand Prix has been demoted to third after he failed to observe waved yellow flags at an incident at Signpost Corner, organisers have said.

The decision was made to issue a time penalty to Mr Fulton after the Manx Motorcycle Club reviewed the incident.

As a result of the time penalty, Mr Fulton drops from first to third. Michael Sweeney has now been announced as the winner of the race with Wayne Kirwan in second place.

The race was abandoned following an accident at Alpine Cottage during the second lap and the result declared after the end of lap one.

Organisers later announced Chris Bradshaw, 39, and James Adam, 28, had died following the accident.
