by isleofman.com 1st September 2010

TODAY'S racing at the Manx Grand Prix has been abandoned for the day.

An announcement has just been made by clerk of the course Phil Taubman.

It follows a serious incident which happened at Alpine Cottage this morning, in the second lap of the Junior Manx Grand Prix, which led to the race being red flagged.

The roads around the TT course are due to re-open shortly.

It is hoped racing will run tomorrow.

No details about this morning's incident have been released.
