The funeral of the former director of Ronaldsway Airport was held at Douglas Crematorium this morning (Tuesday)
Gordon Sweetapple, of Ballakilowey, Port Erin, passed away on Thursday at the age of 79.
He leaves a wife Jean, children Michael and Carole and family.
Flags flew at half mast at Ronaldsway over the Bank Holiday weekend.
One of Mr Sweetapple’s assistants, Alan Pye, said he was respected by colleagues and the public alike.
