Government reveal updated service delivery plans

by isleofman.com 25th August 2010

UPDATED service delivery plans for the individual departments, boards and offices of the Isle of Man Government have been published today (Tuesday).

The 22 documents set out what the bodies aim to achieve within the framework of priorities identified in the Government Strategic Plan for the four key areas: Income, Employment and the Economy; Government Spending and Revenues; Legislation and Regulation; and Quality of Life.

The plans are updated annually, but this year they have also been adjusted in line with the departmental restructuring which came into effect from April 1.

Chief Minister Tony Brown MHK explained: "Although the service delivery plans are flexible and responsive to changing circumstances, they all reflect the overall priorities for Government identified in the strategic plan produced by the Council of Ministers in 2007.

"They are a great aid to Government in planning and co-ordinating its services to the community, but are also a real mine of information for the general public about the work of the various Departments, Boards and Offices."

A full set of the plans are available free of charge from the Chief Secretary’s Office website at: http://www.gov.im/cso/plan/
