Students at Ballakermeen left in limbo following their GCSE results have received a helping hand.

The school is accepting back students who narrowly missed out on a sixth form place and have no further education course or employment lined up.

Latest unemployment figures show around 300 young people are classed as 'NEETs' - Not in Education, Employment or Training – a figure deputy head Annette Baker says will have increased following yesterday’s GCSE results.
