Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in TT course accident

A 52-year-old Douglas man suffered serious injuries in a two vehicle road traffic accident at Brandish Corner, Onchan, on the TT course.

 

The incident, which happened at 4.15pm yesterday (Sunday), also involved a blue Ford Focus car driven by a 43-year-old Ramsey man.

 

Both vehicles were travelling towards Douglas.

 

Police said the motorcyclist, who was riding a silver Kawasaki ZX6R, was taken to Noble's Hospital where he was detained for treatment to serious injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

 

None of the occupants of the car were injured.

 

Police are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident - and who has not spoken to a police officer - to contact PC Paul Dugdale of the roads policing unit on 631442 or Police Headquarters on 631212.
