New Health Agreement on course

by isleofman.com 21st August 2010

Negotiations over a new reciprocal health agreement are on course according to the Chief Minister.

The current agreement, which came into force in April this year, is due to expire at the end of September.

Mr Brown confirmed UK officials are now consulting with the devolved governments in the UK to get their consent for a new agreement to be drawn up.

Mr Brown says he has no reason to believe Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland would NOT give it their support.

And he re-iterated the government had done what it could to keep the agreement alive
