Successful TV campaign to run again

by isleofman.com 20th August 2010

ISLE of Man Tourism’s TV advertising campaign will run again from Monday, after the last burst was hailed a success.

The adverts, which are designed to attract visitors to the Island, will air for three weeks from August 23, on a variety of channels across the UK and Ireland.

The last burst of advertising, which ran between June 25 and July 25, has been hailed a success by tourism officials.

Political Member for Isle of Man Tourism, Geoff Corkish MHK said: "We are very pleased with the result of our recent TV advertising campaign which has been very positively received.

"This is part of a bigger co-ordinated campaign including joint ventures with carriers and I am equally pleased that our partners are already reporting increased business as a direct result."

Research carried out after the last campaign demonstrated that a quarter of people surveyed had positively changed their opinion of the Isle of Man as an easy to get to, value for money destination.

There has also been a notable increase in bookings and guide enquiries.

Isle of Man Tourism has also launched a new Facebook page, with the aim of providing tourists with information about the many attractions, events and activities that take place on the Island.
