POLICE have concluded their investigation into the death of retired doctor David Wallace Young.

His body was found at his home address in Laxey on Monday morning.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Pailor said: "I am content that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding Dr Young's death.

"I would also like to pass on my thanks to the family for their patience during this difficult time and pass on my condolences to them."

The coroner of inquests has been informed.

Dr Young, 62, a married father-of-three, was well known and respected in the Laxey area where he had been a local GP prior to his retirement in January this year.

A statement from the Department of Health said: "The Department of Health is very sad to hear about the death of Dr Young, a valued colleague. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time."
