Geordies and Rushen in early season clash

by isleofman.com 18th August 2010

It may still be the first week of the Isle of Man football season, but a clash this evening (Wednesday) could prove crucial come the end of the campaign.

Reigning champions Rushen United host St George's, the team tipped by many to take their crown this time around.

That's one of six matches due to be played in the Canada Life Premier League.

Elsewhere, Castletown entertain Peel at the Stadium, there's a northern derby at Ballacloan between Ramsey and Ayre, Michael take on Laxey, and in Douglas Old Boys meet Royal and Gymns play St Mary's.
